Rare Rocky Photo Of The Week![[PICTURE: Frank stand powerfully in his lab scene outfit]](20020611.jpg)
Went to Marcon a couple weeks back. I had a pretty good time. I really like traveling and I can see myself doig a lot mroe of it in the future. And after the symposium I went to at Marcon I might even be able to tavel TO THE FUTURE! There was this one really crazy guy who was talking about the Men In Black but veered in 80 different directions and ended up talking about how he made a machine that can bend space time in a delorian. It was kinda interesting to watch this guy, but it still made you want to rip your scalp off with a fork. Besides that I had a chance to see the local Columbus, OH Rocky cast - Whores of A Different Color and had a fun time at their show. Also got a chance to meet Dr. Demento. He is great on the radio. But when there is a dance going on, no one wants to hear Dr. Demento songs. Its hard to dance to "They're coming to take me away". And I stopped by Cinevent while i was out there. It was a waste of time and money, but if I didn't go it probably would have bothered me.
The following weekend was the Home Of Happiness anniversary show. Very good preshow. Not one of the best performances we've put on. There was a weird tension to the show. Like some big stormcloud hanging over us and stressing all of us out collectively. But the audience was abuzz and they seemed to enjoy it. We had ice cream cake at the diner. Yay!
And this past weekend I drove down to Maryland with my friend Mannix for CreepCon. We spent more time driving there than we did staying there. It was your typical horror convention fan fare. A lot like chiller but much smaller. But the guests at this convention were very cool. I met Warwick Davis (from willow) and Nikolai Volkov (from wrestling) and last but not least Anthony Stuart Head from Buffy and from Rocky Horror. I met him before at the 25th anniversary show but I totally forgot to get his autograph. This time I got three. I also bought a few books. Gives me something to read on the train ride into the city.
After that I went to the racetrack and lost a whole lotta money. I am much better off with blackjack than I am with races. And finally went to my show. We had a very small audience this week, but with no raincloud overhead the show was much more fun than the week before.
Okay, so much for the breakdown of the past, lets look into the future:
June 28 - 30th. Do you DARE attend the Anti-Con? The Pink Invaders host their very first Rocky Horror con in Merrilville Indiana. These people are fucked up and great to hang out with. I can't wait to see them again. I URGE (nay, DEMAND) that each and every one of you go to this. I will be bringing along my photos and some extra special video footage to show exclusively at this convention. Be there if you don't want to miss out on some great behind the scenes Rocky Horror stuff.
July 14th. Reno Nevada celebrates the ArTown Festival, Featuring the anual Bawdy Caste out of state performance. Its really great to head out there as pretty much every law but murder has been done away with.
And that brings me up to date through July - near as I know. I am pretty sure I got stuff going on in August road trip wise but I really can't even begin to think that far in advance. I urge everyone to check out these two events. They should kick some serious ass! I will see you there.
